Athora’s Nicholas Gerstbauer officially became an Indiana attorney when he was sworn into the Indiana State Bar Association. The admission ceremony for new lawyers in Indiana was held on October 11, 2023 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The new lawyers were welcomed to the profession by members of the Indiana Supreme Court, the Indiana State Bar Association, and other leaders of the legal community.
In her speech to the new lawyers, Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta Rush reminded them of the importance of the legal profession and the role that lawyers play in upholding the rule of law. She also advised them to be honest, ethical, and compassionate in their work.
Nicholas graduated from the Indiana University Bloomington Maurer School of Law in the spring. He previously earned his bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame. Nicholas passed the bar exam administered in July 2023, having worked as a law clerk for Athora since the firm opened in January. Nicholas is very excited to start his legal career and serve clients as an attorney.
